@Steve - "Value in generic’s, unless we re-write the English language completely will remain solid".

Great observation and one which is shared by many of the long-time domain investors. This is clearly demonstrated through the high dollar sales of generics (in all extensions) year after year.

Yeah, I agree with the current economic situation and domains are doing so well it just goes to show how strong the culture truly is for domains. I imagine some big time brokers are suggesting to clients to join the domain wave and we can all hope they do just that ;)

great read thanks for sharing

Awesome development. Congratulations Rick!!!
The nice thing about the noteworthy sales list is that they are generic words or acronyms. It's nice to also see generic words without the .com are moving. Value in generic's, unless we re-write the English language completely will remain solid. Still major pains ahead but as other posts have mentioned I would much rather be holding onto $10 domain renewals than worthless stock certificates from companies that have no accountability. Even if I don't develop a domain the value in a generic can always be recovered through proper development later on. Broken companies sometimes can't be fixed, ever.
Best!
