FoxNews.mobi – On Your Phone, On Your TV

dotMobi (.mobi) – the mobile internet address, is being advertised in different media venues across the internet. While checking out Fox News the other evening, the FoxNews.mobi web address was clearly displayed to the viewing audience. Went to the site and sure enough a 
nice layout tweaked for mobile phones with lots of news headlines, links, stories, and pictures refined for mobile phone display.
Also recently featured on the dotMobi website is Time Magazine at Time.mobi. Very well done. Mobile internet, in a class by itself.
It’s shame foxnews.mobi is just a redirect, but as long as there promoting foxnews.mobi, thats all that counts.
strange why they show foxnews.mobi as the title of the site also.
any info on why they do it that way ?
FoxNews.mobi in the title makes sense to me. I think that’s the appropriate choice although I agree that using it as a redirect works against their branding of the .mobi. Sometimes even large corps have not yet thought things all the way through. My guess is that the redirect will seque to .mobi in the url address bar as the domain extension continues to gain in popularity.
