Can’t Stop Writing About .US
The .US domain name space is growing! No surprise. Logic leads me in that direction since the entire world is assimilating country code domains. I have been developing my own major .US city domain name. It is a trial and error process with constant learning and challenges. I love it!
Once the model is completed and tested, then duplicating that model will be a natural next step for geodomain owners. There are powerful developments on the horizon, for geo city portal developers, in terms of the free & liberal distribution of once protected, narrowly channeled content -> news, music, television. The internet world is changing the face of commerce and business. The old models are dying fast, and in their place, are emerging new media empires, new portals.
Some of the major search engines are gaining incredible leverage in America and in Europe, and are surpassing the traditional media outlets for “content”. I grew up in rural North Carolina when we had 3 TV channels to choose from. Soon to be, you will have more content available to you than any of us ever imagined. It will come through your internet connection and most likely be routed through a geo-specific portal. Exciting times people.
DN Journal editor, Ron Jackson, wrote recently on a company branding under, Purple.US. Not familiar with the company but their website mission statement includes this sentence …
Our mission is to enable communications that positively impact our deaf, deaf blind, hard of hearing, and hearing customers every day.
Once again, we see companies opting for the official .US domain as general public awareness and acceptance continue to expand.
Along these lines, a new band has emerged and are preparing to embark on a US tour. The band is Chickenfoot. I heard their new release on TV & the internet, and immediately recognized these rock legend heavyweights –> Joe Satriani (guitar), Sammy Hagar (vocals), Michael Anthony (bass), and Chad Smith (drums).
Their official website is www.Chickenfoot.US … and there you have it. Thousands of old & new fans checking out another great band & .US domain name. Nice. Hello America!
